Our Hire Rates
The Little British Rail single day hire is designed for any event which takes place on only one day, or for part of one day. This is the minimum hire we offer, and takes into account the set up and pack down time required to operate the railway. There is no minimum or maximum run time prescribed for a single day hire, however, if continual running is required for longer than 6 hours a minimum 30 minute break to allow servicing of our steam locomotive will be required at some time during the event. We will work with you to schedule this servicing break at a time that balances your requirements and the requirements of our steam locomotive. The single day hire includes everything required to operate the railway, with the exception of water. As we operate a real steam locomotive, a water source capable of supplying a minimum of 150 litres per hour must be available to keep our locomotive topped up. A travel charge may apply to your hire, please enquire including your Post Code for a full quotation.
The Little British Rail Two Day Hire option is ideal for events that are held over a 2 day weekend. This option offers a reduced daily rate when compared to the Single Day Hire, takes into account the set up and pack down time required to operate the railway, and allows for the railway to remain set up on site overnight. As with the single day hire, there is no minimum or maximum run time prescribed each day, however, if continual running is required for longer than 6 hours a minimum 30 minute break to allow servicing of our steam locomotive will be required at some time during the event. We will work with you to schedule this servicing break at a time that balances your requirements and the requirements of our steam locomotive. Everything required to operate the railway is included, with the exception of water. As we operate a real steam locomotive, a water source capable of supplying a minimum of 150 litres per hour must be available to keep our locomotive topped up. Depending upon the required start and finish times for your event, it may be necessary to erect the track the day prior to your event. in this case, there is no extra charge. A travel charge may apply to your hire, please enquire including your Post Code for a full quotation.
Hoorah! It’s a 3 day weekend! The little British Rail Three Day Event Hire offers a further daily rate reduction and continues to offer the flexibility of early “day before the show” set up. In addition, late “day after the show” pack down can be accommodated if required. This is the hire option of choice for the Steam Rally and events season. Our railway will remain onsite, set up and able to operate for the entirety of your event - including evening running sessions if required. The same requirements for locomotive servicing and access to water apply, and a separate travel charge may apply to your hire. Contact us for further details and for an accurate quotation.
